T-MARC Tanzania is a non-profit Tanzanian organization working to improve public health and promote social development. Our socially marketed products and behavior change communication initiatives address pertinent health issues in family planning and reproductive health, child survival, water and sanitation, nutrition and communicable/non-communicable infections like malaria, HIV/AIDS and cervical cancer.

T-MARC is seeking for a suitable qualified candidate to fill in the position of Social Enterprise Director for USAID Social Enterprise Support Activity (USESA). T-MARC through USESA grows the total market for priority health products by applying social enterprise responsibly: focusing on increasing users, reducing inequities, mitigating risks of crowding out the commercial sector, and sharing evidence and learning with all stakeholders.

Position : Social Enterprise Director
Reports to : Managing Director
Location : Dar es Salaam
Broad Function:
The incumbent will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing social enterprise strategies based on organization goals and objectives with a main goal of supporting organization sustainability. Social Enterprise Director will also be responsible on conducting periodic market research and analysis that will help to inform the development of business plans for commercial opportunities. He will oversee leadership of T-MARC Social Enterprise team on the products, sales and distribution.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Master’s Degree in Business administration or any business-related field, 12 years’ work experience at directorate level in a highly commercial organization FMCG business /business management/entrepreneurship. A proven entrepreneurial skills and mindset, experience with sales automation (design and implementation) and people management skills are must. An advanced commercial professional certification is an added advantage.
