The Minister of PMO-RALG Hon. Innocent Bashungwa expressed satisfaction with the enrollment and reporting of Form One students where he also said the Government has started the process of hiring teachers and adding toilets in public schools.

The government is pleased to enroll those who are starting form one WHILE yesterday primary and secondary schools reopened, the government has expressed satisfaction with the enrollment and reporting of Form One students in this academic year.

Similarly, it has insisted on starting the process of hiring teachers and adding toilets in public schools.

The Minister of State for the President's Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO-RALG), Innocent Bashungwa, said this yesterday in the city during a visit to a school in Chamwino district to see the students who reported.

He said after the government completed the classes for receiving Form One students  the Office of the President-PMO-RALG has begun talks with The President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance (PO PSMGG) for the recruitment of teachers and the construction of toilets.

He instructed regional, district commissioners, council directors and education officials at all levels, to oversee the work done by President Samia Suluhu Hassan by ensuring that successful students report and school-age students are enrolled and overseeing the infrastructure.

"President Samia has ensured that there is a good place to study like here at Chamwino Secondary School, I direct the governors, districts, directors, education officers at all levels to ensure that successful students report to school and those of school age are enrolled," he said.

Bashungwa instructed the council to use part of the local revenue to build teachers' houses and reduce part of the money from the Central Government to direct the construction of such houses with the aim of creating a conducive environment.

"Not only that, President Samia also cares for his teachers, so we are committed to ensuring that we protect and defend the interests of teachers, including promotions," he said.

Bashungwa also instructed the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the President PMO-RALG, all undocumented and new schools are being assessed and held.

Chamwino District Administrative Secretary, Neema Nyerege, said Chamwino District received Shs. 2.9 billion for the construction of 146 secondary classrooms and support centers.

Minister Bashungwa made the remarks during a visit to Chamwino Secondary School in Chamwino District, Dodoma Region.
