Water and Sanitation Kigoma Region Project

The Water and Sanitation Kigoma Region Project (WASKIRP) is a 5-year project which started in October 2017. It aims at providing sustainable access to safe drinking water in rural areas in Kigoma Region.The project is establishing Community Owned Water Supply Organizations (COWSO), constructing new water supply systems and rehabilitating existing schemes in six Districts in the Kigoma region besides facilitating improved domestic water management in the beneficiary communities.

Technical Engineering Consultant
Purpose
Reporting to WASKiRP Project Manager, the technical consultant will build the capacity of the Local Government personnel in the Water Department to manage service contracts while providing support to the Project Management Team in ensuring quality assurance of the contracted works. He/she will work closely with the National Technical Assistant (NTA)-Technical to review contract documents prepared by consultants for water scheme tenders and liaise with the District focal persons / Districts water engineers in management of works contracts. He/she will participate in works verifications/site meetings on behalf of the Project Manager as and when necessary.
