In furtherance of the implementation of the order of Hon. President Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the Sixth Phase, recruiting new troops, Commissioner General of Prisons Major General Suleiman, announces that the youths listed in this announcement have been selected to serve in prisons for the 2021/22 fiscal year. The youths will be required to attend a military training course at Kiwira Prisons College, Mbeya. The criterion for attending military training is crucial in achieving their employment.

In that context, Selected Youths are required to attend college on 15/01/2022 without fail.

Selected youths with Form Four education, report to the Regional Commissioners' Offices where they were interviewed, and youths interviewed through the Prisons Headquarters can report to the nearest Regional Prisons Offices so that they can get instructions on needs and travel procedures.

Salary And renumeration

  • Unranked  soldier are paid 400,000 Tanzanian shillings, The corporal ascends slightly, the sergeant slightly exceeds the corporal, and the staff sergeant slightly exceeds the sergeant.
  • Allowances are ranging from 100000-300,000TZS
  • The total salary scale is from 400,000 to 3,000, 000TZS
